Jeff Tecca

Director of Goaltending

Coach Tecca is originally from Los Angeles California and moved to Anchorage, Alaska at the age of 5 and started his youth goaltending shortly their after. Jeff was a standout net-minder in Anchorage, Alaska for 13 years where in he won a State Championship with Dimond High School and received Rookie of the Year honors, and two years later West Anchorage High School to a State Championship Title.

In 1989 and 1990 Jeff led the Alaska All Stars U18AAA, winning two Western Regional Titles and two trips to the USA Hockey U18 AAA National Championship Tournament. From 1990 to 1993 Jeff played with various Jr. A teams in the NAHL and IJHL. and finished his Jr. A career with the Trail Smoke Eaters of the BCHL. In 1993 Jeff made his professional debut when he was invited to the main training camp of the IHL San Diego Gulls. In 1994 after a second main camp with the Gulls coach Tecca played with the Bakersfield Oilers of the WCHL and later that summer signed with the Sacramento River Rats (RHI).

In 1995 Jeff was invited to Colorado Springs Olympic Training Center to tryout for Team USA's Inline National Team and later signed with the team and won a gold medal in the IIHF World Championships. In 1996, coach Tecca finished his pro career with Phoenix Desert Rats of the CIHL (inline).

In 1996, Jeff started Tecca Goalie School, now Tecca Goaltending which he has owned and operated for the last 25 years in Phoenix, Arizona. Jeff works with some of the Valley's top goaltenders including several goalies that have moved on to Jr. A and the NCAA Div 1 level. He also works with goaltenders from all over the US and Canada that fly in and train with him, coach Tecca has 3 Arizona goalies that have been drafted to the USHL and is currently working  with several NCAA Div 1 and Div III as well as two NCAA Div 1 commits, Air Force and Arizona State. Jeff's goalies have won four National Championships, VOSHA Mustangs Tier II AA, U16 Silver Stick Internationals, ASU ACHA Div 1 and NAHL. Jeff was also was the goalie coach for the Nationally ranked Arizona State Sun Devil's Men's ACHA Div 1 Hockey Program from 2011-2015 where he helped shape his first starting goaltender into an ACHA All-American and helped him sign a professional contract with the Allen Americans (CHL). Coach Tecca is currently the Director of Goaltending for the VOSHA Arizona Titans.

Jake Bayer

Hi , my name is Jake Bayer I am from Glendale Arizona. I was born and raised here in the valley. Played for team Arizona (14u AAA) which was the best 95’s in the state. That was my last year of pewee - last year bantam. Then (2012-2013) when I was 15, I moved to California to play for the (16u AAA ) SoCal Titans in the NAPHL (North American Prospects Hockey League. (2013-2014)  After, I came back home to AZ to finish my last two years of midget playing for the Phoenix Firebirds (18AAA) (NAPHL) . Then played for the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (18AAA )in the Tier 1 Elite league. (2014-2018) Continued my career playing in Canada and Georgia . I played for the Hamilton redwings in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) junior A Tier 2 . I also played in the Canadian International Hockey league (CIHL) Tier 2 junior A with the Collingwood Ice.  Moved down to Georgia. To finish my Career with Atlanta Jr. Knights in the United States Prospect Hockey League, (USPHL). I came back home and I’ve been coaching ever since . I have been with the Titans Since I have a number of NHL guys I come down during the summer to train with me along with top junior a players and college players also. I am currently also the head coach for Grand Canyon State University (GCU) men’s D2 to hockey club.

Coach Anthony Peralta grew up playing hockey locally in Arizona. He first started out of Chandler Polar Ice which is now known as Chandler Ice Den. Coach Anthony played U16 in Las Vegas for the Jr Wranglers where they went on to place third in nationals. After coach Anthony graduated high school he attended Grand Canyon University and played hockey there for 3 seasons. He was a part of GCU’s inaugural season and served as captain of the GCU hockey team his last two seasons. He later graduated from GCU in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Economics.

This is coach Anthony’s 4th year with the Titan program and will be coaching the U14 Tier 2 team this upcoming season. He loves to make a difference in the hockey community and is passionate about growing the game in Arizona. He has great knowledge of the game and is committed to seeing players improve on the ice as well as off the ice.

“A coach is someone who tells you what you don’t want to hear, who has you see what you don’t want to see, so you can be who you always known you could be.” This was originally spoken by a great NFL coach, but reflects greatly on Coach Anthony’s coaching style. He tries to get the best out of every single player every time he gets the opportunity to work with them.

Coach Steve is in his 10th year of coaching travel hockey. Steve grew up in AZ playing since 1973. He has seen hockey in AZ grow exponentially since 1973. He is a level 4 USA Hockey certified coach. Coach Steve’s philosophy on coaching is to master the fundamentals then you have the ability to be as creative as you can imagine.

Coach Matthew Lucero, but you can call him “Coach Matt”, has a strong drive and passion to create successful hockey careers for the up and coming youth. Coach Matt has proudly completed 2 seasons with the AZ Titans Organization, with this current year being a Head Coach of the 8U program. Also, he currently has 9 years of experience coaching kids from the ages of 5 - 18, both for traveling and non-traveling hockey teams

Coach Matt has played hockey for over 20 years with starting at the lowest levels and battling his way up to play Major Juniors in Canada and College Hockey at Eastern Washington University. Coach Matt is extremely knowledgeable, has excellent communication skills, a great sense of humor, an intense love for the game, and is an excellent demonstrator of fundamental ice skating and hockey skills.

Development Director

David Rice is a Level 4 USA Hockey coach and Level 3 USA Hockey referee. He has been involved with coaching at AZ Ice Arcadia for over 10 years, including ADM Skill Development, Summer 3-on-3, Jr. Titans, and Titans Development. His coaching philosophy is based on designing practices that reinforce basic skills with a "learn by doing" approach.
